Week 38
Your baby’s weight is now approximately 3kg and more with an approximate length of 39.8cm.
Before this, (in the second trimester) your baby is covered in soft, thick hair called lanugo. It’s mostly gone now, although some babies are born with patches of lanugo fur here and there.
Bits of amniotic fluid that are swallowed in the womb, produce meconium which is a sticky green mucus in their intestines. It is the first stool that will come out after the baby is born.
Symptoms
As your due date approaches, you may feel more tired and find it difficult to sleep at night.
As your baby continues to grow and move lower into your pelvis, you may experience some pressure and discomfort in this area. You will also experience Braxton Hicks.
Tips for you
Get plenty of rest. As you get closer to the due date, try to rest as much as possible and get a good night’s sleep.
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration in the body. In addition, it is important to attend all your prenatal appointments to monitor your and your baby’s health.

Sebelum ini, (pada trimester kedua) bayi anda diselubungi bulu dengan rambut lembut dan lebat yang dipanggil lanugo. Ia kebanyakannya makin hilang sekarang, walaupun sesetengah bayi dilahirkan dengan tompokan bulu lanugo di sana sini.
Cebisan cecair ketuban yang ditelan didalam rahim, menghasilkan mekonium iaitu lendiran hijau melekit didalam usus mereka. Ia adalah najis pertama yang akan keluar selepas bayi dilahirkan.
Simptom
Semakin hampir tarikh due date anda, anda mungkin berasa semakin letih dan sukar untuk tidur pada waktu malam.
Semakin bayi anda terus membesar dan bergerak lebih rendah ke dalam pelvis anda, anda mungkin mengalami sedikit tekanan dan rasa tidak selesa di kawasan ini. Anda juga akan mengalami Braxton Hicks.
Tips Buat Anda
